🏛️Foundation & Early Years

The birth of a racing legend

Red Bull Racing was established in 2005 when the Austrian energy drink company Red Bull GmbH purchased the Jaguar Racing Formula 1 team from Ford Motor Company. Dietrich Mateschitz, Red Bull's co-founder, had long harbored ambitions to enter Formula 1, viewing it as the ultimate platform to showcase the Red Bull brand's association with extreme sports and high performance.

📚Team History & Evolution

Decades of Formula 1 excellence and innovation

Red Bull Racing's transformation from the struggling Jaguar team to a championship-winning operation is one of Formula 1's greatest success stories. Under the leadership of Christian Horner and with Adrian Newey's aerodynamic genius, the team rapidly evolved from midfield runners to front-runners.

The breakthrough came in 2009 with Sebastian Vettel's maiden victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, marking Red Bull as race winners. This success set the stage for an unprecedented period of dominance from 2010–2013, where the team won four consecutive Constructors' Championships with Vettel claiming four straight Drivers' titles.

After a period of rebuilding following the departure of Vettel and the end of the V8 era, Red Bull found their next superstar in Max Verstappen. The young Dutchman joined in 2016 and immediately showed his potential with a victory on his Red Bull debut at the Spanish Grand Prix.

The 2021 season marked Red Bull's return to championship glory, with Verstappen engaging in an epic battle with Lewis Hamilton that went down to the final lap of the final race in Abu Dhabi. This victory launched another period of dominance, with Verstappen and Red Bull winning multiple consecutive championships and rewriting various F1 records.

Red Bull's success has been built on innovative car design, aggressive strategy, exceptional pit stop performance, and the development of young talent through their driver program, which has produced numerous F1 stars.
